Palo Alto Networks A Leader In Gartner Magic Quadrant
Palo Alto Networks has announced that Gartner Inc. has positioned the company as a "leader" in its latest "Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Network Firewalls".
This positioning now marks the fourth year that Palo Alto Networks, the leader in enterprise security, has been recognised as a leader in the Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Firewalls, which evaluates vendors' ability to execute their technological vision.
According to the Magic Quadrant report, the Leaders Quadrant contains vendors that build products that fulfil enterprise requirements, which include a range of models, comprehensive support for virtualisation and virtual LANs, and a management capability that is designed for high-volume environments.
The Leaders Quadrant states that a solid next-generation firewall (NGFW) capability is an important element as enterprises strive to move away from dedicated intrusion prevention system (IPS) appliances within their premises and remote locations.
Vendors within the Leaders Quadrant lead the market offering for new safety features, offering expert capability and a track record of avoiding vulnerabilities in security products. Other characteristics include providing the highest throughput while achieving minimal performance loss and hardware acceleration.
René Bonvanie, CMO at Palo Alto Networks, has stated that it is an honour for the firm to be recognised for its completeness of vision.
"We are proud to see that our NGFW continues to set the bar in the industry. It is the cornerstone of our unique enterprise security platform that combines network, cloud and endpoint security capabilities to safely enable applications and deliver automated prevention against cyber attacks – known and unknown," he said.
